One of its major roles is as a co-factor in the enzymes involved in nerve and neuromuscular transmission \u2013 helping to regulate nerve to nerve and nerve to muscle transmission and communication.<\/p>\n<p>A lack of magnesium can result in nerve and neuromuscular excitability, resulting in a tense, nervous horse.<\/p>\n<p>Stressful situations such as strenuous activity and competition, travelling, prolonged stabling and lack of grazing, or new environments may further increase magnesium requirements as stress levels rise.<\/p>\n<p>Magnitude provides supplemental magnesium, together with controlled amounts of calcium (another key mineral in nerve and muscle metabolism), to help promote healthy nerve function and reduce tension, enabling the horse to focus and concentrate.<\/p>\n<h2>What are the benefits of Magnitude?<\/h2>\n<p>Magnitude provides magnesium from Magnesium Oxide, which is produced from calcined magnesite, extracted from natural deposits in the earth. The Magnesium Oxide used in Magnitude typically contains 52.7% elemental magnesium.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Natural source of magnesium to supplement low or marginal levels in forage.<\/li>\n<li>A very small daily serving of 5g provides 2.6g elemental magnesium, easily mixed in feed for fussy feeders<\/li>\n<li>Safe use with most typical fortified performance and leisure feeds and forage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Magnitude is a highly absorbable form of Magnesium <span style=\"font-size: 14.4px;\">that should be fed daily to horses or ponies to promote healthy nerve tissue and reduce nervous tension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Magnesium has many roles within the body including the health of nerve endings and fibres, and a lack of magnesium may show in a horse as tension or nervousness.<\/p>\n<p>For very young, excitable or overzealous horses, requiring focus, increased concentration and calming, a product from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equine-america.co.uk\/search?keyword=super+so+kalm\"><strong>So-Kalm\u00ae Plus\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>range will be more suitable.<\/p>\n<p>So-Kalm\u00ae Plus Paste may also be used as a pre-competition addition alongside Magnitude.<\/p>\n<p>Available in 1kg\u00a0(a six month supply)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Magnitude Powder 1kg<\/h3>\n<p>A complimentary mineral feed for horses, designed to support and maintain healthy magnesium levels, as part of a balanced diet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions for feeding<\/strong>: For 500 kg horse; 5g per day.
